Why I’m Organizing in Roam & Preparing a Presentation Slide Deck in Obsidian
Roam + Obsidian go together like 🍔 & 🍟!
I have been journaling in Roam Research for 2 years, and since that time I have created more content with a greater depth of knowledge than ever before.
Roam and other digital thinking tools have helped me find a community of kind & brilliant humans.
I still prefer Roam as a day-to-day tool for planning & organizing prepared presentations.
Still, I’m building an upcoming presentation about Tools for Thought in Obsidian.
5 specific reasons why:
#1: Audience | Most audience members for the presentation I’m preparing are Obsidian-first digital thinkers.
#2: Balance | I’m demonstrating a technique using Roam, so it’s important to showcase competency in a variety of digital tools.
#3: Respect | Presenting in Obsidian shows respect for the tool and its users.
#4: Preparation | Building slide shows in Obsidian can be stressful. Still, fewer moving parts is a relief.
#5: Delivery | When it’s showtime, slides advance with a click of the space bar. It will be hard to “blow up” my slide deck.
I would love to hear from you if you have questions about using multiple Tools for Thought with a single project.
